Class Prompt #1

I found out quickly that college life was not quite what I had expected. I expected it to be really hard work. I also expected the teachers to be difficult. I soon found out that the classwork and homework is only a little harder than high school's. The essays for English are longer and require more time. The teachers are actually really nice and they seem to want to help. Some of the teachers are slightly crazy, but they are helpful as well. Some sing during class and some are really hyper about the subject in which they teach. I actually glad that college life is different than what I thought it would be.

The article that I chose was "Facing the Facebook" by Michael Bugeja. I chose that article because I disagree with what Bugeja says about Facebook. I think that Facebook is a website that lets people communicate with others. I also think that it is a fairly good website to go to. I do not think that it is an addictive waste of time, but a good way for students to chat with their fellow students. Facebook allows people to find new friends. It is an easier way for people to talk to one another. For example, a shy person can probably talk to others online better than face-to-face.
